The updated Glanza is expected to get fresh styling, more features and a new three-cylinder petrol engine.
Toyota is expected to unveil the updated Glanza in India on October 14. The company has started sending media invitations for an upcoming product, while reports and dealer sources point to the Glanza as the likely model. Toyota has not officially confirmed the launch details.
The Glanza is based on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The upcoming model is expected to get a mild facelift, with changes focused on design, features and safety rather than a major redesign.
Toyota Glanza Facelift: Expected Design Changes
The refreshed Glanza could get a revised front grille with a new pattern. Toyota-specific styling elements may help set it apart from the Baleno. Redesigned alloy wheels and new exterior colour options are also expected.
Minor changes to the bumpers and lighting housings could also be part of the update. However, the overall shape, headlamp design and tail-light layout are expected to stay largely unchanged.
This would keep the Glanza’s familiar look while giving the hatchback a fresher appearance. The changes are expected to help it remain competitive in India’s premium hatchback market.
Toyota Glanza Facelift: Features And Safety Upgrades
The cabin could receive several updates based on changes seen in the refreshed Baleno. These may include Level 2 ADAS functions, a tyre pressure monitoring system and six airbags as standard across the range.

Other expected additions include ventilated front seats and a cooled wireless charging pad. An upgraded audio system and new seat upholstery could also be offered.
Toyota Glanza Facelift: New Engine Expected
A major change could come under the bonnet. The updated Glanza is expected to replace its current 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with Suzuki’s new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z-Series unit.
The new engine is claimed to offer better fuel efficiency and stronger low-end performance. These changes could be useful for daily city driving. Transmission choices are expected to remain the same. Buyers could continue to get a five-speed manual gearbox and a five-speed AMT.
Toyota Glanza Facelift: Expected Price In India
The updated Glanza could cost slightly more than the current model. The existing Glanza is priced from Rs 6.73 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
The expected increase would follow the pricing trend of the refreshed Baleno. The Baleno is currently priced from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom, on an introductory basis.
After the update, the Glanza is expected to continue competing with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20. Toyota’s official launch announcement will confirm the model, specifications, features and prices.
