Tata Motors has raised prices across the Punch range, with selected variants getting costlier immediately.

Tata Motors has increased prices of the Punch and Punch EV in India. The price hike ranges from Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000, depending on the variant. The revised prices are effective immediately.

Tata Punch ICE Prices Rise By Up To Rs 10,000

The petrol and CNG versions of the Tata Punch are now Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 more expensive. The Punch is now priced between Rs 5.75 lakh and Rs 10.77 lakh, ex-showroom. The new prices apply across the Punch lineup. Tata Motors has not announced any feature or mechanical changes with this revision.

Tata Punch EV Gets A Higher Price Increase

The Tata Punch EV is offered in Smart, Adventure and Empowered trims. It comes with six variants and two battery options of 30kWh and 40kWh.

The 30kWh Smart and Smart+ variants are now Rs 10,000 more expensive. All 40kWh variants have received a Rs 20,000 price increase. The affected 40kWh versions include Smart+, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+ S. The Punch EV now costs between Rs 9.79 lakh and Rs 12.99 lakh, ex-showroom.

No Changes To Features Or Powertrain

The latest price revision does not change the Punch EV’s features or mechanical package. The electric SUV continues with two battery options and two motor outputs.

The 30kWh battery works with an 88PS electric motor. The 40kWh battery is paired with a 130PS motor. Tata Motors claims ranges of up to 375 km and 468 km, respectively.

The regular Punch continues with petrol and CNG powertrains. Buyers can also choose between manual and AMT gearboxes, depending on the variant.

Tata Motors Remains India’s EV Market Leader

India’s electric car market recorded strong growth in August 2026. Retail registrations rose 52 per cent year-on-year to 30,686 units, according to FADA data.

Tata Motors registered 13,158 electric cars during the month. Its EV sales rose 63 per cent from August 2025, with the Punch.ev and Nexon.ev helping drive volumes.

Tata Motors held an estimated 43 per cent share of the electric car market in August. Mahindra & Mahindra ranked second with 6,464 registrations, while JSW MG Motor recorded 4,622 registrations.

Tata Motors and Mahindra together accounted for nearly 64 per cent of electric car registrations during the month. The revised Punch prices now apply to buyers across the respective model ranges.
