Skoda Auto India has introduced a second batch of the Octavia RS in India. The performance sedan is priced at Rs 56.69 lakh (ex-showroom), with deliveries set to begin next week. The latest allocation is limited to 50 units. It follows the first batch of 100 cars, which sold out before deliveries started last year.
Skoda Octavia RS Price Increased
The second batch costs Rs 6.70 lakh more than the first allocation. The earlier batch was priced at Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Octavia RS is imported into India as a completely built unit. Its limited allocation also keeps availability restricted for buyers.
The new batch is available in Mamba Green, Velvet Red and Magic Black. Mamba Green remains the most distinctive colour, while the other two offer darker alternatives.
Skoda Octavia RS Gets 2.0-Litre Turbo Petrol Engine
The Octavia RS uses the Volkswagen Group’s EA888 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. In this sedan, the engine produces 265 hp and 370 Nm of torque.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Skoda claims a 0-100 kmph acceleration time of 6.4 seconds.
The sedan has an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph. It also gets progressive steering, sports suspension, an advanced chassis setup and a sports exhaust system.
RS Gets Sporty Exterior Design
The Octavia RS features a sportier design than the standard Octavia. It gets a sharper front bumper, gloss-black exterior elements and RS-specific details.
The sedan rides on 19-inch alloy wheels. Other exterior features include Matrix LED headlamps and LED tail-lamps with dynamic indicators. The rear also receives black styling elements. These changes give the performance sedan a more distinctive RS design.
Practical Cabin And 600-Litre Boot
Despite its performance focus, the Octavia RS retains a practical liftback body style. It offers a 600-litre boot, which expands to 1,555 litres when the rear seats are folded.

The sedan measures 4,709mm in length, 1,829mm in width and 1,457mm in height. It has a 2,677mm wheelbase. Inside, the car gets black sport seats with contrasting red elements. The front seats feature electric adjustment, memory, heating and massage functions.
The cabin also includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument display and a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also available.
Other equipment includes three-zone climate control and wireless phone charging. An 11-speaker Canton audio system with a subwoofer is also offered.
Safety Features
The Octavia RS comes with a wide range of safety and driver-assistance features. These include 10 airbags, adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking.
The sedan also gets lane assist and intelligent park assist. A 360-degree Area View camera and head-up display are included as well. With the second batch, Skoda Auto India has again limited the Octavia RS to a small number of units. Deliveries of the 50 cars are scheduled to begin next week.
