The updated Slavia gets new features, an eight-speed automatic gearbox and revised styling.
Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has started making the updated Slavia at its Chakan plant in Pune. The facelifted sedan will launch in India on October 6.
The new Slavia gets changes to its design, tech, comfort and safety. More than 80,000 Slavia cars have been sold in India since 2022. The sedan also holds 30 per cent of the mid-size sedan market.
Skoda Slavia Facelift Gets New Design Updates
The facelift brings new LED headlamps and new LED tail-lamps. The tail-lamps get turn signals that sweep across the lamps. The car also gets new alloy wheels and a lit front grille.

Inside, Skoda has added new colour themes. The Monte Carlo trim keeps its two-tone body finish and black trim. It also gets special badges and styling cues linked to Skoda’s motorsport roots.
New Automatic Gearbox For 1.0-Litre TSI
The main engine update is a new eight-speed automatic gearbox. It works with the 1.0-litre TSI engine and replaces the old six-speed unit. The 1.5-litre TSI engine stays with the seven-speed DSG gearbox. Skoda has kept this engine and gearbox set-up unchanged.
Slavia Facelift Adds New Features
The facelift also adds new tech and comfort features. These include a rear-seat massage function, a larger digital driver display and a 10.1-inch touch screen. The screen also has an AI assistant built into the system.
The Slavia keeps its five-star Global NCAP safety rating for adults and children. Six airbags are standard, along with more than 25 active and passive safety systems. Other safety and comfort features include auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a rear defogger and an auto-dimming IRVM.
Skoda Slavia Production And Exports
The Slavia is part of Skoda’s India-focused range with the Kylaq and Kushaq. It is also sold in export markets such as Vietnam, the Middle East and Africa.
Skoda Auto Volkswagen India says it has made more than two million vehicles in India. More than 725,000 vehicles have also been sent to over 40 countries.
The Slavia range in India also includes the Octavia RS. The next-generation Superb is planned for India in 2027. Production has now begun ahead of the October 6 launch. Skoda will reveal the facelifted Slavia for the Indian market on that date.
