The new smartphones feature 1.5K AMOLED displays, silicon-carbon batteries and up to 100W charging support.
Xiaomi sub-brand Poco has launched the Poco X8 and Poco X8 Power in India. The two smartphones target premium and mid-premium buyers, with large AMOLED displays and high-capacity batteries.
Both models feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 2772 × 1280 resolution. The screens support a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, 12-bit colour depth and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness.
The displays are protected by Corning Gorilla Victus 2. Both smartphones also carry IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for protection against water and dust.
Poco X8, X8 Power specifications
The Poco X8 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The Poco X8 Power uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. It offers up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Both smartphones run Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Poco says the phones will receive four years of Android updates and six years of security patches.
The Poco X8 Power also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Both models feature stereo dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support.
Camera features
The Poco X8 has a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS). It is paired with a 2-megapixel depth camera and a 16-megapixel front camera.
The Poco X8 Power features a 50-megapixel OIS main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. For selfies and video calls, it gets a 32-megapixel front camera.
9,000mAh and 10,000mAh batteries
Battery capacity is one of the key differences between the two models. The Poco X8 packs a 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, while the Poco X8 Power gets a larger 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery.
The Poco X8 supports 67W charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. The Poco X8 Power comes with a faster 100W charger and supports 27W wired reverse charging.
Poco X8, X8 Power price in India
The Poco X8 has been launched in India at a starting price of ₹29,999. The Poco X8 Power is priced at ₹35,999.
With large 1.5K AMOLED displays, high-capacity batteries and long-term software support, the two models add new options to Poco’s smartphone lineup in India. Further availability details will depend on the company’s rollout plans.
