Kia India has added new automatic variants to the MPV and extended battery cover for its electric version.
Kia India has refreshed the Carens Clavis lineup ahead of the festive season. The update adds new automatic variants and a lifetime battery warranty for the Clavis EV.
The warranty applies to the first private owner of a new Clavis EV bought from August 1, 2026. It provides 15 years of coverage with unlimited kilometres.
Commercial and fleet buyers will continue to receive the standard battery warranty. The same eight-year or 1.6 lakh km cover applies to subsequent owners.
Kia Carens Clavis EV Price And Range
The Carens Clavis EV is priced from Rs 18.04 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. These are ex-showroom prices. It is available with two battery options. The 42 kWh battery has a claimed range of 404 km. The larger 51.4 kWh battery offers a claimed range of 490 km on one charge.
Kia Carens Clavis Gets New Automatic Trims
Kia has added more automatic powertrain choices to the Carens Clavis. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with a DCT gearbox is now available on HTE (EX) and HTE (O) variants.

The HTE (O) variant also gets the 1.5-litre diesel engine with an automatic transmission. The new automatic variants also get a smart key and selectable drive modes.
Carens Clavis Automatic Variant Prices
The HTE (O) with the turbo-petrol engine and 7-speed DCT costs Rs 14.67 lakh. This makes it the most affordable automatic variant in the updated lineup. The HTE (O) diesel-automatic costs Rs 15.82 lakh. The HTE (EX) with the turbo-petrol DCT is priced at Rs 15.22 lakh.
Kia Carens Clavis CNG Pre-Bookings Open
Kia has also opened pre-bookings for the factory-fitted Carens Clavis CNG. The company is expected to announce its price by late September or early October 2026.
The CNG version is expected to use Kia’s 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. It will add another powertrain choice to the Carens Clavis range. The updated automatic variants are now available, while details on the CNG version will follow with its launch.
