The digital concept adds steel bumpers, a roof tent, off-road tyres and recovery equipment.

Tata Motors recently launched the Sierra EV with an electric powertrain and QWD system. Now, SRK Designs has imagined a more rugged version through a digital render called the Sierra EV Overlander concept.

The concept gives the electric SUV an aggressive overlanding-focused design. It adds off-road hardware, body protection and equipment designed for extended outdoor trips.

Tata Sierra EV Overlander Gets Steel Bumpers

The digital concept replaces the standard front and rear bumpers with fabricated steel-style units. Their high-clearance design is intended to improve the approach and departure angles.

The front bumper features an electric recovery winch with a red synthetic rope. It also gets a fairlead and two red D-ring shackle mounts. Similar D-ring mounts are placed at the rear. A tubular brush guard sits above the front bumper and carries a wide LED light bar. The rear bumper also integrates a swing-out tyre carrier. This allows the concept to carry a full-size spare wheel.

Sierra EV Gets Lifted Suspension and Off-Road Tyres

The concept features a prominent suspension lift. This raises the SUV’s stance and provides more clearance for rough terrain. The standard wheels have been replaced by black beadlock-style wheels. They are paired with chunky mud-terrain tyres designed for improved grip on loose surfaces.

The wider tyres and track are supported by extended black wheel arch flares. These changes give the concept a wider and more rugged appearance.

Rooftop Tent Adds Overlanding Equipment

The roof gets a robust rack system that supports a large hard-shell rooftop tent. The tent is designed with an aerodynamic shape and is colour-matched to the vehicle.

Orange-and-black recovery boards are mounted along the sides of the tent. These can be used on surfaces such as mud, sand and other soft terrain.

The equipment gives the digital concept a self-contained overlanding theme. It is designed around the idea of longer trips without external support.

Tata Sierra EV Overlander Gets New Finish

The standard glossy paint has been replaced with a matte olive-green finish. The colour adds to the concept’s expedition-focused appearance. Chrome and other bright exterior elements have also been blacked out. This includes the window trim, flush door handles and side mirrors.

The LED lighting elements also receive a darker treatment. The concept features smoked finishes around the daytime running lights, headlamp housings and rear light bar.

Tata Sierra EV: Battery, Range and Price

The Tata Sierra EV is available in India at a starting price of Rs 18.79 lakh, ex-showroom. It is offered with 63 kWh and 75 kWh battery pack options. The SUV has a claimed maximum driving range of up to 665 km on a single charge. Its QWD system produces 306 hp and 504 Nm of torque.

The Sierra EV Overlander is a digital design concept from SRK Designs. The off-road equipment and visual changes shown in the render are not presented as factory specifications of the production Sierra EV.

The concept highlights how the Sierra EV could be visually adapted for overlanding and off-road use. The production model continues with its stated battery, range and QWD specifications.
