BMW F 450 GS Price Hiked By Up To Rs 30,000 in India

All three variants of BMW Motorrad’s entry-level adventure motorcycle are now more expensive.

BMW Motorrad has increased the price of the F 450 GS in India. The hike ranges from Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 across its three variants.

The BMW F 450 GS Base now costs Rs 4.95 lakh, ex-showroom. The Exclusive and GS Trophy variants are priced at Rs 5.15 lakh and Rs 5.60 lakh, respectively.

BMW F 450 GS Prices Revised

The Base variant was earlier priced at Rs 4.70 lakh. Its new price reflects an increase of Rs 25,000. The Exclusive variant has also received a Rs 25,000 hike. Its price has increased from Rs 4.90 lakh to Rs 5.15 lakh. The top-spec GS Trophy gets the biggest increase. Its price has gone up by Rs 30,000, from Rs 5.30 lakh to Rs 5.60 lakh.

No Changes To Engine Or Features

The latest price revision does not bring mechanical or equipment changes. The F 450 GS continues with its existing engine and feature package. The motorcycle uses a 420cc parallel-twin engine. It produces 48hp and 43Nm of torque and comes with a six-speed gearbox.

BMW offers Rain, Road and Enduro ride modes. These modes adjust features such as throttle response, traction control and ABS intervention.

BMW F 450 GS Gets Premium Hardware

The motorcycle uses a steel tube frame with the engine serving as a stressed member. It also gets a steel tube sub-frame and 43mm upside-down front forks.

At the rear, the F 450 GS uses a monoshock. Braking hardware includes disc brakes at both ends with ABS Pro. Other electronic features include ride-by-wire, dynamic traction control and dynamic engine brake control. The motorcycle also gets an anti-hopping clutch.

Features And Variant Details

A 6.5-inch colour TFT instrument cluster is available on the F 450 GS. It supports Bluetooth connectivity and includes on-board computer functions. The motorcycle also gets heated grips and a USB Type-C port. Adjustable clutch, handbrake and footbrake levers are also offered.

The Base and Exclusive variants are available in Cosmic Black. The GS Trophy comes in Racing Blue with additional design and equipment details.

These include white hand protection, a tinted Rallye windscreen and white chassis accents. The top variant also gets an aluminium engine guard.

F 450 GS Made In India

BMW manufactures the F 450 GS exclusively in India at its Chennai plant. The motorcycle is also exported to several international markets, including countries in Europe.

In Europe, the motorcycle is aimed at riders in the A2 licence category. The model is BMW Motorrad’s entry-level motorcycle in the adventure segment in India.

The latest price revision means buyers will now pay up to Rs 30,000 more. BMW has retained the same engine, equipment and mechanical package despite the higher prices.
