The electric model adds a rear window, larger cargo space and new features while retaining the Coupe’s overall length.
Polestar has revealed the new Polestar 4 SUV, adding a more practical body style to its electric vehicle range. The model features a taller rear section, a heated rear window and increased cargo capacity.
Despite its SUV name, the vehicle has a wagon-like design. It measures 4,840 mm in length, matching the Polestar 4 Coupe. Its width remains 2,139 mm, while its height increases by 22 mm to 1,556 mm.
Polestar 4 SUV: Design and Practicality
The biggest design change is the addition of a conventional rear glass window. It also gets a rear wiper with an integrated washer, hidden beneath the rear spoiler.
The new layout removes the need for a standard digital rearview mirror. However, buyers can still choose a digital camera mirror as an option. Cargo space has also increased compared with the Coupe. The SUV offers 655 litres of storage up to the roof with the rear seats in place. This is 129 litres more than the Coupe.

With luggage measured up to the seatbacks, capacity stands at 530 litres. The front storage compartment adds another 15 litres. Other changes include standard roof rails, new wheels and fresh exterior colours. The model also gets an electrochromic glass roof, allowing occupants to adjust light entering the cabin through the centre display.
Polestar 4 SUV: Motor and Performance
The electric model will be available with single-motor and dual-motor options. The rear-wheel-drive single-motor version produces 268 hp and 343 Nm of torque.
It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. Its electronically limited top speed is 200 km/h. The all-wheel-drive dual-motor version produces 544 hp and 686 Nm of torque. It completes the 0–100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds, with the same 200 km/h top speed.
Battery, Range and Charging
Both versions use a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The single-motor model offers a claimed WLTP range of 630 km. The dual-motor version has a claimed range of 600 km. The battery supports DC fast charging at up to 200 kW. Charging from 10 to 80 per cent takes around 30 minutes under supported conditions.
The SUV also supports bidirectional charging and Vehicle-to-Load technology. This feature allows the car to power external devices at up to 3.3 kW. A Camp mode is initially exclusive to the SUV version. Polestar plans to bring this feature to other models through a future software update.
