The new hypercar replaces the Chiron with a naturally aspirated V16 engine, three electric motors and an all-wheel-drive system.
Bugatti has introduced the 2026 Tourbillon as its first completely new model since merging with Rimac in 2021. The new hypercar replaces the Chiron and features a hybrid powertrain with a combined output of 1,775 horsepower.
The Tourbillon uses a naturally aspirated 8.3-litre V16 engine developed with Cosworth. Three electric motors support the engine, while an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels.
2026 Bugatti Tourbillon: Engine and Performance
The V16 engine produces 986 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. Combined with the three electric motors, the system delivers a total output of 1,775 horsepower.
This makes the Tourbillon more powerful than any previous Bugatti model. It also marks a major change from the Chiron, which used a turbocharged W16 engine.

The car features an all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. However, official driving impressions and independent test results are not yet available in the provided information.
New Design and Interior
Bugatti has redesigned the Tourbillon from the chassis to the roofline. The company says no components are shared with its previous models. Its design retains familiar Bugatti bodylines but uses reshaped panels for a lower and leaner appearance. The car also gets wider fenders and a narrower cockpit.
Inside, the Tourbillon focuses on traditional materials and physical controls. Its cabin uses leather, machined metal and crystal, while avoiding a screen-heavy layout and self-driving features.
2026 Bugatti Tourbillon Price
The 2026 Bugatti Tourbillon is expected to start at around $4.6 million. This places it among the most expensive new hypercars. The model combines a new V16 engine, electric power and an all-wheel-drive system.
Its design and interior also mark a different direction from the Chiron. Further driving impressions and test results will provide more details about its real-world performance.
