Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift Launched

The updated Baleno gets Level 2 ADAS, ventilated seats and a new 1.2-litre Z-Series engine.

Maruti Suzuki has launched the Baleno facelift in India at a starting price of Rs 6.10 lakh, ex-showroom. The 2026 model gets major updates to its safety, features and engine, while its overall design remains familiar.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift: Design

The facelift keeps the same basic silhouette as the outgoing model. It gets revised projector LED headlamps with DRLs, a new grille and a redesigned front bumper.

At the rear, the car gets a shark fin antenna. New 16-inch alloy wheels update the side profile. Maruti Suzuki is also offering a new Enigmatic Teal colour.

Baleno Facelift Interior

Inside, the Baleno gets a dual-tone blue and black cabin. The dashboard layout remains similar to the previous model.

It features a floating infotainment screen and physical buttons for basic controls. The steering wheel also retains its existing design with mounted controls.

New Baleno Gets ADAS and Ventilated Seats

The new Baleno gets front ventilated seats as a first-in-segment feature. Other equipment includes a wireless charger, Clarion sound system, tyre pressure monitoring system, head-up display and a 360-degree camera.

Safety is another major focus of the facelift. It gets six airbags and Level 2 ADAS features. These include adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, high beam assist and forward collision warning.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift Engine

The 2026 Baleno is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z-Series engine. The same engine is also used in the Swift and Dzire.

Buyers can choose between manual and automatic transmissions. A CNG version is also available with an automatic transmission.

Baleno Facelift Rivals

The updated Baleno continues to compete with the Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz in India’s premium hatchback segment.

With the facelift, Maruti Suzuki has focused on adding new safety and convenience features while keeping the car’s familiar design. The new model is now available in India from Rs 6.10 lakh, ex-showroom.
