The new luxury electric SUV delivers 888 PS, 1,350 Nm of torque and 800V fast charging technology.
Bentley has unveiled the all-new Torcal, its first fully electric vehicle. The luxury electric SUV will be available in standard and Torcal S versions. The Torcal offers a claimed WLTP range of up to 600 kilometres. Bentley also says its 800V charging system can charge the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in 16 minutes.

The Torcal introduces a new design language for Bentley. It retains several visual elements associated with the luxury carmaker. The electric SUV has a long wheelbase and short overhangs. Its front design features an illuminated grille, while the rear gets a new graphic treatment first shown on the EXP 15 concept.
Bentley will offer five wheel designs with the new model. The standard version gets 21-inch wheels, while the Torcal S comes with 22-inch wheels as standard. The Torcal is also the first Bentley to use the company’s redesigned emblem. The new emblem was introduced last year.

The cabin combines Bentley’s wing-inspired dashboard with leather, wool, veneer and aluminium finishes. Physical controls remain available on the centre console and steering wheel.

The new seats come with 16-way adjustment as standard. They also offer heating, ventilation, adjustable bolsters and massage functions. Optional features include Postural Adjust and Smart Seat Climate systems. A Wellness package can also extend the massage function to the seat cushion. The rear seats can fold electrically. Bentley says this is a first for the brand.

The Torcal uses a dual-motor electric powertrain. It produces 888 PS and 1,350 Nm of torque. Bentley says this makes the Torcal its most powerful and highest-torque model to date. The electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 2.9 seconds. The powertrain uses two permanent magnet synchronous motors. The rear motor gets a locking differential and multi-plate clutch setup.
Power comes from an 800V battery with 192 lithium-ion pouch cells. The battery has a usable capacity of 113kWh and is covered by a 10-year or 100,000-mile warranty.
New sound system and audio options
Bentley has created a new digital sound experience for the Torcal. The system is called Bentley Dynamic Symphony. Instead of copying an engine sound, it uses recordings made with instruments such as drums, viola and bass guitar. The sound changes based on vehicle speed and torque demand.
Drivers can adjust the sound through different drive modes. They can also switch the system off completely. The Torcal gets a 16-speaker, 620W audio system as standard. Buyers can also choose a Naim system with 28 speakers and 1,780W output. The optional system also supports Dolby Atmos and includes seat-integrated transducers and headrest speakers.
Bentley Torcal focuses on sustainable materials
Bentley has introduced several new materials for the Torcal’s cabin. These include a 100 per cent Merino wool automotive fabric developed with UK textile maker Fox Brothers.
The wool is certified under the Responsible Wool Standard. Bentley will offer it alongside leather and Dinamica upholstery options. The interior also gets new trim options. These include Ombre Walnut, made using walnut off-cuts and recycled paper, and Sunburst Aluminium.
Customers can select from leather, wool, veneer, technical and piano-finish combinations. The options allow buyers to customise the cabin to their preferences.
The Bentley Torcal marks a major new stage in the brand’s electric vehicle programme. Its claimed range, fast charging system and high-output dual-motor powertrain define the new model’s core specifications.
