The new electric SUV gets a 118.5 kWh battery, 350 kW charging and a claimed 4.5-second 0-100 kmph time.
Jaguar Land Rover has unveiled the Range Rover Sport Electric and opened order books in India. It is the first all-electric model in the Range Rover Sport line-up.
The electric SUV uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. It produces up to 550 hp and 850 Nm of torque. JLR claims a 0-100 kmph time of 4.5 seconds.
Range Rover Sport Electric Battery And Range
The Range Rover Sport Electric uses JLR’s 800-volt MLA-Flex platform. It gets a 118.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The SUV has a claimed WLTP range of up to 609 km.
The battery has an eight-year or 1.6 lakh km warranty. The warranty applies until whichever limit comes first. The Sport Electric also has lower weight and improved aerodynamics compared with the larger Range Rover Electric.
Charging And Performance
The SUV supports DC fast charging at up to 350 kW. JLR says the battery can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in about 22 minutes. A 10-minute charging session can add up to 220 km of range.
The body structure is 61 per cent stiffer than the internal-combustion Sport model. Its centre of gravity is also 73 mm lower. The SUV uses air suspension, twin-valve dampers and active roll control.
It also gets all-wheel steering for added control. Braking hardware includes 380 mm ventilated front discs with four-piston callipers. The rear uses 355 mm discs.
Range Rover Sport Electric Design
The electric model retains the familiar Range Rover Sport design. It features sleek LED headlights, an aerodynamic black grille and flush door handles.

The SUV also gets blacked-out pillars and alloy wheels measuring up to 22 inches. The rear has wraparound LED tail-lights and a gloss-black panel with Range Rover lettering.
JLR will offer the Sport Electric in four variants. These are Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE, Autobiography and First Edition. The First Edition gets a Zadar Grey finish with a Satin Wrap. It also has a black contrast roof and 22-inch wheels. Buyers can also choose a Black Pack and Satin Wrap.
Interior And Features
The cabin gets a 13.1-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 13.7-inch digital driver display. Both screens feature menus designed for the electric powertrain.
Other features include wireless phone charging and four-zone climate control. The SUV also gets rear sunblinds and powered, heated and ventilated seats for both front and rear passengers.
The Range Rover Sport Electric retains a five-seat layout. Autobiography buyers can also access Range Rover Bespoke for further personalisation.
Range Rover Sport Electric India Launch
The Range Rover Sport Electric is expected to arrive in India by March 2027. It will come to the country as a fully imported model. The electric SUV will not qualify for tariff concessions under the India-UK Free Trade Agreement, according to the provided information. JLR has not provided an India price in the supplied details.
