Subheadline: Kawasaki has introduced two new colour options for the 2027 Ninja ZX-6R in international markets, with no mechanical or feature changes.
Kawasaki has updated the Ninja ZX-6R for the 2027 model year with two new colour options. The changes have been announced for international markets and are limited to the motorcycle’s appearance.
There are no reported changes to the engine, chassis, electronics or equipment. The existing Lime Green and Blue colour scheme will also continue in overseas markets.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Gets Two New Colours
The 2027 Ninja ZX-6R will be offered in three colour schemes in international markets. Two of them are new black-based finishes, while the third is the familiar Lime Green and Blue option.

The first new finish is called Metallic Matte Carbon Gray. It combines a dark base with lime-green wheels and green highlights across the fairing. The design keeps Kawasaki’s familiar racing-inspired look but gives the motorcycle a darker appearance. The second new option uses a black base with grey detailing and black wheels. This finish has a more understated look compared with the other versions.
The new colours give buyers more choice without changing the motorcycle’s core design. Riders who prefer Kawasaki’s traditional appearance can continue with the Lime Green and Blue finish.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Engine and Features
The 2027 Ninja ZX-6R continues with its 636cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four-cylinder engine. In India-spec form, the engine produces 124 hp and 69 Nm of torque.
The engine comes with a six-speed gearbox. Its 636cc capacity also gives the ZX-6R a different position in the middleweight supersport segment, where 600cc engines have traditionally been common.
The motorcycle continues with a TFT instrument console and multiple electronic features. These include riding modes, traction control, a quickshifter, selectable power modes and dual-channel ABS.
The chassis also remains unchanged. It uses an aluminium perimeter frame, upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking duties are handled by dual front disc brakes.
India Availability
In India, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is currently available only in the Lime Green and Blue colour scheme. Kawasaki has not confirmed whether either of the new international colours will be introduced in the Indian market.
The availability of new colours can vary between markets. Production plans, customer demand and model-year allocations can influence which versions are offered in each country.
For now, Indian buyers looking at the Ninja ZX-6R have the existing Lime Green and Blue option. Any decision to add the new finishes to India would depend on Kawasaki’s future plans for the local line-up.
