The new Xiaomi phone will arrive with the Band 10 Pro, Ear Clip TWS and YU7 GT (2026).
Xiaomi will launch the Xiaomi 17 Max in China this week with several new products. The launch event is scheduled for May 21, according to the company. The event will begin at 7:00 pm local time, or 4:30 pm IST. Xiaomi made the announcement through a post on Weibo.
The smartphone will become the fifth model in the Xiaomi 17 series. It will join the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max and Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
Xiaomi will also launch the Band 10 Pro and its first clip-on TWS earbuds. The new earbuds will be called Xiaomi Ear Clip. The Xiaomi YU7 GT (2026) electric SUV will also debut at the event.
Xiaomi 17 Max Specifications Revealed
Xiaomi has already shared several details about the upcoming smartphone. The Xiaomi 17 Max will use Qualcomm’s 3nm octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

The phone will also feature an 8,000mAh battery. Based on the information provided by Xiaomi, this will be the largest battery in the Xiaomi 17 series. For cameras, the Xiaomi 17 Max will use a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup. The cameras will sit inside a square-shaped rear module.
The main camera will have a 200-megapixel sensor with a 1/1.4-inch size. The rear setup will also include a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The front camera will sit inside a hole-punch cutout in the display. It will support selfies and video calls.
Xiaomi 17 Max Pre-Orders Open in China
The Xiaomi 17 Max is already available for pre-order through Xiaomi’s China website. The phone will be offered in at least Blue and White colour options.
Pre-orders for the Xiaomi Band 10 Pro and Xiaomi Ear Clip are also open. The clip-on earbuds will be available in Basalt Black, Pearl White and Satin Gold.
Other Products Coming at Xiaomi Event
The May 21 event will cover more than smartphones and wearables. Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of the Xiaomi YU7 GT (2026) electric SUV. The company has also teased new home appliances for the event. Their marketing names have not yet been announced.
The Xiaomi 17 Max launch will add another model to the company’s Xiaomi 17 series. Xiaomi is expected to reveal the remaining details during the launch event.
