A new leak suggests Samsung could change image processing and video features on its next Ultra flagship.
The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra could bring changes to photo and video processing. A tipster claims Samsung is testing warmer and more natural-looking images for the upcoming flagship.
According to the leak, the company may move away from the cooler colour tones seen on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The phone is also tipped to receive updates to Samsung Log and Advanced Professional Video (APV) support.
Galaxy S27 Ultra Could Get New Image Processing
Tipster Walle (@WalleGalaxy) claims Samsung is exploring new image processing algorithms. The changes are reportedly aimed at producing warmer and more natural photos.
The new processing could also offer a more realistic representation of colours and lighting. However, these details remain based on leaks and have not been confirmed by Samsung.
Galaxy S27 Ultra Video Features
The Galaxy S27 Ultra is also tipped to receive changes to its video recording features. According to the leak, Samsung has updated its Log format and APV codec for improved HDR video recording.

Despite these changes, the phone is expected to retain its current top recording limits. The leaked details point to 4K video recording at 120 frames per second and 8K recording at 30 frames per second.
The APV codec debuted with the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It is designed for professional video production and can be accessed through the camera settings.
Galaxy S27 Ultra Could Feature 5x Telephoto Camera
In another post on X, Walle reportedly cited an employee of a parts manufacturer. The tipster claimed that the Galaxy S27 Ultra will feature a 5x telephoto camera.
The camera is said to use the same 1/2.52-inch Sony IMX854 sensor as the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung has not yet confirmed the camera specifications.
Galaxy S27 Ultra Expected Specifications
The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to launch early next year. It is tipped to arrive alongside the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27+. The Ultra model could feature a 6.9-inch display. It is also rumoured to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.
The base configuration could include 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone is also tipped to feature a quad-camera system with a 200-megapixel primary sensor.
Battery and Other Expected Features
The Galaxy S27 Ultra is tipped to include a 5,800mAh battery. It could support 25W wireless charging and retain an IP68-rated build. These specifications have not been officially confirmed by Samsung. More details are expected to emerge before the Galaxy S27 series is officially announced.
