The limited-edition motorcycle gets colour-changing Hypershift paint, exclusive anniversary details and the same 648cc-class twin-cylinder engine as the standard model.
Royal Enfield has introduced the Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 4,25,589. Called the Hypershift, the special edition celebrates the brand’s 125-year history with exclusive paintwork and unique styling details.
Production will be limited to 125 units per key region globally, according to the supplied details. Registrations open at 2 PM IST on October 16, 2026, and will remain open until the sale day on October 28. Deliveries are expected to begin in November 2026.
Royal Enfield Classic 650 Anniversary Edition: Price and Availability
The anniversary edition costs Rs 4.26 lakh, ex-showroom, making it a special offering in the Classic 650 range. Its limited production and exclusive finish distinguish it from the regular model.
Interested buyers can register from October 16 until October 28, 2026. Royal Enfield expects deliveries to start in November, although buyers should confirm the latest booking and allocation details through the company’s official channels.
Hypershift Paintwork Is the Main Highlight
The biggest visual change is the bespoke Hypershift paint finish. It shifts between shades of red, green and gold depending on the angle of light, giving the motorcycle a distinctive appearance.
The brass base takes inspiration from Royal Enfield’s earliest motorcycles, which date back to 1901. Gold tones and deeper colours extend across the fuel tank, side panels, mudguards and headlamp nacelle, while black engine and exhaust components provide contrast.
The fuel tank features hand-painted pinstripes around its central black section. A commemorative cannon decal sits on top of the tank, while a gilded 125-year crest appears on the side panel.
These design elements set the special edition apart from the standard Classic 650. The overall styling combines traditional motorcycle details with a finish developed specifically for the anniversary model.
Classic 650 Anniversary Edition: Features and Equipment
The motorcycle gets a vintage-style brown leather seat with quilted stitching and gold detailing. Its equipment includes an LED headlight, an LED tail lamp and a USB Type-C charging port.
However, the turn indicators continue to use conventional bulbs. Other styling features include wire-spoke wheels, rounded mirrors and blacked-out twin exhausts.
The anniversary model retains the familiar Classic design while adding exclusive visual details. The supplied specifications do not indicate any major equipment changes beyond its special finish and trim.
Engine and Performance Remain Unchanged
Royal Enfield has not made mechanical changes to the anniversary edition. It continues to use the 647.95cc, fuel-injected, twin-cylinder engine with a single overhead camshaft (SOHC).
The engine produces 47 PS at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm of torque at 5,650 rpm. A six-speed gearbox and a wet multi-plate clutch handle power delivery to the rear wheel.
This means the special edition focuses on exclusive styling rather than higher performance. Buyers receive the same engine output as the regular Classic 650.
Brakes, Wheels and Dimensions
The Classic 650 Anniversary Edition uses a 320 mm front disc and a 300 mm rear disc. Both brakes feature twin-piston floating calipers, supported by dual-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS).

The motorcycle rides on a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel. The front tyre measures 100/90, while the rear uses a 140/70 tyre. Its seat height is 800 mm, with 154 mm of ground clearance and a 1,475 mm wheelbase. The fuel tank holds 14.7 litres, and the kerb weight is 243 kg with 90% fuel and oil.
What Makes the Anniversary Edition Different?
The main difference is its colour-changing Hypershift finish and commemorative styling. Details such as the hand-painted pinstripes, cannon decal and 125-year crest give the motorcycle a distinct identity.
The limited production run also separates it from the regular Classic 650. However, its engine, gearbox, braking hardware and core dimensions remain unchanged.
For Indian buyers, the motorcycle offers a special version of Royal Enfield’s twin-cylinder Classic without changes to its basic mechanical package. Its final availability will depend on the limited allocation and the company’s registration and sale process.
