The limited-run hatchback gets Union Jack-inspired styling, a 204hp turbo-petrol engine and a feature-rich cabin.
Mini India has opened pre-bookings for the Cooper Oxford Edition, a limited-run version of its Cooper S three-door hatchback. The special edition celebrates Oxford, the British city associated with the Mini brand, with exclusive exterior and interior design details.
The Oxford Edition retains the standard Cooper S’s 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. It adds Union Jack-inspired styling elements that distinguish it from the regular model.
Mini Cooper Oxford Edition: Exterior Design
The Mini Cooper Oxford Edition will be available in two exterior colours: Indigo Sunset Blue and Chilli Red. Both options feature Union Jack-inspired stripes on the bonnet and tailgate.
The car also gets Glazed White outside rear-view mirrors and a Union Jack sticker on the roof. A special ‘flags’ badge on the bootlid further separates it from the standard Cooper S.
Other exterior features include 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with blue and red centre caps, Union Jack valve caps and circular LED headlamps. The octagonal grille remains unchanged, while the LED tail-lamps feature the brand’s signature Union Jack lighting pattern.
Interior and Features
Inside, the Oxford Edition retains the standard Cooper’s dashboard layout but adds grey and beige fabric trim. Black JCW Sport-spec seats, Union Jack-inspired floor mats and steering wheel details give the cabin a distinctive look.
The special edition also gets blue and red ‘Oxford’ door sills, a Union Jack-themed infotainment interface and a matching key fob. Features include a 9.4-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Other equipment includes a panoramic glass roof, Harman Kardon sound system, automatic climate control and a wireless phone charger.

Safety features include Level 1 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), dual airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system and an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror.
Engine and Performance
The Mini Cooper Oxford Edition uses the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, direct-injection turbo-petrol engine as the standard Cooper S. The engine produces 204hp and 300Nm of torque.
Power goes to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). Mini claims the hatchback can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 6.6 seconds, with a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 16.82kpl.
