Maruti Suzuki’s compact SUV has crossed 15 lakh cumulative sales in India, while its refreshed version has received more than one lakh bookings.

Maruti Suzuki has announced that cumulative sales of the Brezza have crossed 15 lakh units in India. The automaker also reports that the refreshed compact SUV has received more than one lakh bookings since its launch.

The milestone highlights the Brezza’s position in India’s competitive compact SUV market. The model is currently in its second generation and has recently received a mid-cycle update.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Records 15 Lakh Sales

The Brezza has been part of Maruti Suzuki’s SUV portfolio for around a decade. It first entered the market with a diesel engine before the company shifted to its K15 petrol powertrain.

Maruti Suzuki describes the Brezza as its first SUV developed entirely by its Indian engineering team. Over the years, the model has remained an important offering in the sub-four-metre SUV segment.

The company also reports that 56% of prospective buyers consider the Brezza before starting their vehicle purchase journey. This figure indicates the model’s position among buyers considering a compact SUV.

New Maruti Brezza Receives Over 1 Lakh Bookings

The updated Brezza has received more than one lakh bookings, according to the information provided by Maruti Suzuki. The refreshed model brings changes to its design, technology and powertrain options.

The latest update aims to serve buyers looking for a compact SUV with different fuel and transmission choices. However, the company has not provided a detailed booking breakdown by variant or fuel type in the available information.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Engine and Transmission Options

The updated Brezza is listed with two engine options: a 1.0-litre BoosterJet turbo-petrol unit and a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine. The 1.5-litre engine is available with petrol and CNG fuel options.

The CNG version features an underbody tank, which helps preserve boot space. This layout addresses a common concern among buyers choosing CNG-powered cars for everyday use.

Transmission options include a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed automatic gearbox. Buyers can compare the available engine, fuel and transmission combinations before selecting a variant.

Maruti Brezza Price in India

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is priced from Rs 7.50 lakh to Rs 13.70 lakh, ex-showroom, according to the supplied information. The final price depends on the variant selected.

The compact SUV competes with several models in India, including the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 3XO. Other rivals include the Skoda Kylaq, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.

What the Sales Milestone Means

Crossing 15 lakh cumulative sales marks a significant point in the Brezza’s market journey. The latest booking figure also reflects demand for the refreshed model, although final deliveries and sales may differ from bookings.

Maruti Suzuki’s next steps will include meeting customer orders for the updated SUV. Buyers can check the latest variant details, prices and delivery timelines with authorised dealerships.
