The new electric van offers Passenger and Cargo versions, with seating for up to nine people globally.
Kia has globally unveiled the PV7, its second model under the dedicated Platform Beyond Vehicle range. The electric van is available in Passenger and Cargo versions for different transport needs.
The PV7 uses Kia’s PBV-specific E-GMP.S architecture and supports 800V charging. The Long Range Cargo version offers a WLTP-rated range of more than 460 km.
Kia PV7 Powertrain and Range
The PV7 is offered with 71.5 kWh and 96.2 kWh NCM battery packs. Its front-wheel-drive setup produces up to 200 kW of power and 420 Nm of torque.
Kia plans to introduce an all-wheel-drive version at a later stage. The Long Range Cargo variant has a claimed WLTP range of more than 460 km.
The van uses an 800V electrical architecture for faster charging. Kia says its battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent in around 25 minutes using DC fast charging. The PV7 is also Kia’s first model with dual charging ports. It gets a front AC/DC port and an optional rear-side AC charging port.
Kia PV7 Cargo: Focus on Practicality
The PV7 Cargo is designed mainly for logistics and business applications. It is available with two- and three-seat layouts. The Cargo version offers up to 8.0 cubic metres of cargo space. Its maximum payload is up to 1,200 kg.

The van also features a low loading height and cargo-door monitoring. Dedicated load-carrying modes are included to support commercial use.
Kia PV7 Passenger: Up to Nine Seats
The Passenger version is aimed at shuttle services, tourism, families and crew transport. It can accommodate up to nine passengers in global markets and up to 11 passengers in Korea.
The cabin supports multiple seating layouts and removable seats. It also gets rear climate control, USB-C charging ports and additional storage solutions.
The Passenger version further features premium cabin finishes and ambient lighting. Power-sliding doors are also available to improve access for passengers.
Kia PV7 Gets Connected Technology
The PV7 features Kia’s Pleos Connect system, which is based on Android Automotive OS. It supports connected navigation, an app marketplace and flexible screen layouts.
The system also supports over-the-air software updates. Kia’s Gleo AI voice assistant allows users to control vehicle functions, navigation and messaging through natural-language commands. The cabin features 12.9-inch and 14.6-inch displays. Multiple storage areas are also provided for everyday use.
Kia PV7 Safety Features
The electric van comes with seven airbags. This includes a front passenger roof-mounted airbag. Kia has also equipped the PV7 with Pedal Misapplication Safety Assist. Its driver assistance package includes forward collision avoidance, lane-keeping assist and smart cruise control.
Highway Driving Assist and parking assistance systems are also available. A surround-view camera system helps improve visibility around the vehicle. The PV7 also gets Built-in Cam 3.0. This system can record driving footage.
Kia PV7: Passenger and Cargo Versions
The two versions are designed for different types of use. The Cargo model focuses on load space, payload and business operations. The Passenger model gives greater attention to seating flexibility and passenger comfort. Its multiple seating options make it suitable for several transport applications.
