The special edition adds cosmetic upgrades and cabin accessories to the Strong Hybrid variant as the SUV completes its first year in India.
Maruti Suzuki has launched the Victoris Aurum Edition in India to mark the SUV’s first anniversary. Priced at Rs 22,990 for the accessory kit, the special edition is based on the Strong Hybrid variant and adds cosmetic enhancements to the standard model.
The Victoris range is currently priced between Rs 10.50 lakh and Rs 19.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The Aurum Edition focuses on styling changes and additional accessories rather than a new powertrain.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris Aurum Edition: What’s Different?
The Victoris Aurum Edition receives copper-coloured inserts on the front, side and rear skid plates. The wheel arches also get matching details, giving the SUV a different look from the standard version.
Chrome accessories have been added to the front grille, fenders, bumpers, body-side mouldings and door visors. These additions give the special edition a more distinctive exterior appearance.
Inside, the package includes all-weather 3D cabin mats and a 3D boot mat. Buyers also receive a rear trunk sill guard for added protection when loading and unloading luggage.
The name Aurum comes from the Latin word for gold. Maruti Suzuki has chosen the name to reflect the Victoris’s performance during its first year on sale.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris Aurum Edition: Powertrain
The Aurum Edition uses the Victoris Strong Hybrid powertrain. It combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery.
The hybrid system offers an EV mode and delivers a combined output of around 116 hp and 122 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission, known as an e-CVT.
