Tata Motors has launched the Aeris in India with an introductory price of Rs 5.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The compact sedan retains the existing mechanical package while adding a more modern design and feature-rich cabin.
The Aeris enters a segment led by the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. Tata is offering several features that are not available in the Dzire, including some uncommon equipment for entry-level sedans.
Ventilated Front Seats
The Tata Aeris offers ventilated front seats on its top-spec Accomplished variant. Prices for this variant start at Rs 8.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The seats are paired with leatherette upholstery. This gives the cabin a more premium feature set than is usually found in this segment.
Wireless Smartphone Charger
The Aeris also gets a dual smartphone deck integrated into the centre console. It combines a dedicated phone holder with a wireless charging pad.
This feature is available on the Accomplished variant. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire does not offer a similar wireless charging setup, based on the provided specifications.
In-Built Dashcam
Another key feature is the Aeris’ integrated dashcam system. It uses the car’s surround-view camera setup to record footage from the front, rear and both sides. The system is available on the top-spec Accomplished variant. It removes the need for buyers to install a separate aftermarket dashcam.
360-Degree Camera
The Tata Aeris comes with a 360-degree camera system from the Creative variant onwards. It is paired with Blind View Monitors for both outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs).

The system provides a wider view around the vehicle. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire does not offer a 360-degree camera, according to the supplied information.
10.25-Inch Infotainment Screen
The Aeris gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the Creative variant onwards. This is larger than the displays offered in several rival compact sedans.
The Honda Amaze and Hyundai Aura use 8-inch screens, while the Maruti Suzuki Dzire gets a 9-inch unit. The larger display adds to the Aeris’ technology-focused cabin.
